Snow Day – Colorado Goose Hunting

Category: Goose Hunting   |   Comments: 0

Today while in a corn field Colorado Goose Hunting the snow made it happen!

Generally when you are in a goose hunting situation like this the geese are fairly easy to convince and most will dump right into your decoy spread even during the times when you are out of the pit. The snow was very wet today and the wind kept blowing it right in your face. For the most part we encountered lessors with a few of the heavier Sky Pigs. Mostly in groups of 30 or so and 2-8 would usually break off the pack and come in for a close look at the pumps and autos waiting to unload. A couple groups of 3 came right in and never left. The last volley was a group of 7 and 6 went down landed like pigs falling out of the sky and the loner that managed to get out of range came right back to fall out of the sky as well.

Snow days in Colorado hunting for geese is Awesome and we look for to more time in the field, whether it’d be a cold snow day or just another wonderful Colorado goose hunting day!!
